A day of cinema, history, and breathtaking views, enjoyed stress-free thanks to our car rental with driver service.
Michele and Brigitte's journey in Sicily continues, and today Etna takes center stage again — but from a new perspective. Our two guests, who have now been won over by the island's beauty, asked us for a privileged panoramic viewpoint, a place where they could admire Etna once more, but with a distance that enhances its majesty.
The perfect destination? **Forza d'Agrò**, a small village suspended between sky and sea, known for its extraordinary views and for being chosen by directors like Francis Ford Coppola for some scenes of "The Godfather" film.
A Sweet and Relaxed Start
It's a clear morning, the sky is bright, and the air smells of sea and lemons. Punctual as always, we stop in front of the resort where Michele and Brigitte are staying, just a few minutes from Taormina. We find them ready, hats in hand and eyes full of enthusiasm.
"Today Etna is winking at us," Michele smiles, looking at the imposing silhouette of the volcano in the distance.
"I want a postcard view," Brigitte adds. "The kind that when you send it to friends, they envy you for weeks."
With these premises, we set off north-east, comfortable and relaxed aboard our chauffeured car. As always, the journey is part of the experience: no worries, no GPS to check, no roads to decipher. Just the pleasure of the journey.
Forza d'Agrò: The Village Where Time Stood Still
The ascent to Forza d'Agrò is scenic and evocative. The road winds through hills dotted with olive trees and glimpses of the Ionian Sea. Upon arrival, Brigitte is speechless:
"Is this all real? It looks like a movie set!"
And indeed it was. Forza d'Agrò is also famous for being one of the locations for *The Godfather Part II* and *Part III*. The silent narrow streets, the ancient stone of the houses, the Church of the Santissima Trinità… everything speaks of authentic Sicily.
We stop for a stroll through the alleys of the historic center. A Sicilian flag waves from a wrought-iron balcony. An elderly man greets us kindly. The calm is absolute.
"Here, time moves at a different pace," Michele comments. "And Etna… look at that spectacle."
From the viewpoint, the view is breathtaking: the volcano dominates the hinterland while the sea glistens under the sun. Brigitte takes dozens of photos, trying to capture the magic of the moment.
Between History and Spirituality
We continue our visit by reaching the ruins of the Norman Castle and the **Chiesa Madre** (Mother Church), an imposing Romanesque-Norman style structure. Our driver, a deep connoisseur of the territory, discreetly shares a few anecdotes:
"It is said that this village was founded by the inhabitants of Agrò who fled from the Saracens. And from here, for centuries, the entire coast was controlled."
Brigitte listens carefully, fascinated by the cultural stratifications that only Sicily can offer.
Lunch with a View
It's lunchtime, and as always, we carefully choose a small restaurant with a sea-view terrace. The menu is simple and authentic: rustic appetizers, pasta alla norma, cold white wine from the Ionian hills.
"I think I could live like this forever," Brigitte sighs.
"Then let's start looking for a house in Forza d'Agrò," Michele jokes.
Time flows slowly, amidst stories, laughter, and gazes lost on the horizon.
The Return… Sweetly
In the afternoon, before heading back, we stop along the coast for a short walk by the sea. Michele and Brigitte take off their shoes and walk on the warm sand.
"Every day is a different discovery," Michele says, looking at Brigitte.
"And every discovery is more beautiful because we don't have to worry about anything," she adds. "Just live and let ourselves be guided."
This is our mission: to make every moment unforgettable, taking away the burden of organization and providing authentic and relaxed experiences.
