Today's journey takes us to Tindari, a sacred and evocative place nestled between the mountains and the sea, which has welcomed pilgrims and visitors for centuries.

Anna and Giuseppe, intrigued by the famous statue of the Black Madonna, chose this destination for an experience that combines spirituality, nature, and culture.

Accompanied by our car rental service with a driver, the journey from Taormina to Tindari was comfortable and relaxing. Thanks to our air-conditioned vehicles and the safe and discreet driving of our driver, the two guests were able to enjoy the Sicilian landscape without worrying about roads, parking, or the heat.

The journey is already a taste of the island's beauty: hills covered with olive trees, glimpses of the blue sea, and small villages that tell centuries of history. During the journey, the driver shares some curiosities about Tindari and its Greek foundation. Founded by Dionysius I of Syracuse in 396 BC, Tindari was a Greek and Roman stronghold, and still preserves archaeological remains that testify to its importance.

Upon arrival, the imposing Sanctuary of the Madonna of Tindari stands out on the horizon. Located in a panoramic position on a promontory overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, the sanctuary is famous for housing the wooden statue of the Black Madonna, around which numerous legends and popular tales revolve. Anna, struck by the spirituality of the place, lights a candle as a sign of devotion.

"You know Giuseppe, it seems that this Madonna has protected fishermen and travelers for centuries," says Anna as she admires the frescoes in the basilica. The breathtaking view from the terrace is breathtaking: below, you can see the Marinello lakes, with their sinuous and legendary shapes, molded - according to myth - by a miracle of the Virgin.

Not far from the sanctuary are the archaeological remains of ancient Tyndaris, including the Greek theatre, still used today for outdoor performances. Anna and Giuseppe walk among the ruins, imagining the scenes of daily life from a long time ago. "It's incredible to think that thousands of people gathered here to watch Greek tragedies and comedies," comments Giuseppe.

After visiting the sanctuary, a lunch with a panoramic view on a local terrace provides another moment of relaxation. Typical Sicilian dishes, a glass of wine from the Messinese hills, and a great desire to continue the exploration. The menu offers authentic dishes such as swordfish alla ghiotta and sarde a beccafico, which immediately win over the palates of our guests.

Thanks to our NCC service, the return trip is comfortable and punctual. Anna and Giuseppe enjoy every moment, without stress. "Not having to think about anything really makes us appreciate everything more," says Anna, relaxed as she looks at the landscape from the window.
